by NFL sunday games ~ March 3rd, 2010. Filed under: Field Pass Audio.

Sony Vegas 8.0b Pro
Fraps 2.9.1 (registered)
If you need more specs, just ask.
If you know better settings than these, PLEASE tell me!
BTW, I discovered a bit weird thing, if you have pictures in your video, 640×480 rendering resolution is best. If you compare the first picture in this movie and the first one is this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mop7THaQGtI&fmt=6
you can see that the quality is slightly better in the 640×480 version.
But if your video contains a lot of video-clips, 1024×768 is best.

Of course you need to edit the whole video part so it’s the same length as the sound…? Or do you mean that you can’t edit just one of the parts? If you try to edit one of them, both are edited?
If you have an old version of Fraps it can be a reason why it doesn’t work as it should too.

Have you checked so …
Have you checked so your recordings are OK before you put them into Sony Vegas?
If not, try checking the settings in Fraps and the game you are playing, FPS settings and so, also check that sound is recorded from “speakers” (directly through the computer) and not from a microphone.
What versions of Fraps and Sony Vegas are you using by the way?
One last thing, maybe a not very good solution but, it works:
You can edit the video part, so it becomes as long as the sound part.

I don’t actually know what to answer since I’m using Vegas 8.0 and it works great. Try to check EVERYTHING so you didn’t miss even the smallest thing, happens to me sometimes…
You can try to experiment around with the settings too, thats how I got these, I was just testing all settings at random.
